From my days as an Administrative
Assistant - setting up filing systems and organizing offices; to today
– starting and running my own business, wife and mother of 3 boys, 1 dog and
1 gerbil (Update 2007: no more dog or gerbil),
helping others to see their potential and fulfill their goals is what gives
me the biggest thrill.
My organizing experiences have included small offices, thousands of
residential projects as well as moving and life event planning. I am a
member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO),
National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD), ADHD Coaches
Organization (ACO), CHADD, ADDA and
NCGW.
I have attended over a thousand hours of organizing and ADHD specific training.
I enjoy speaking about the benefits of organization.
I have spoken to numerous groups including professional
organizations, women's centers, ADD groups, mother's groups and senior
centers. I have been told my talks are "fantastically wonderful",
"fun", "informative" and "just what I needed to hear". They are
customized for each group.

I have earned my
certification as a Certified Professional Organizer in Chronic
Disorganization. This level of
distinction has been awarded to less than 1% of all Professional Organizers.
I am an Associate of the Optimal Functioning Institute. At OFI I have
trained to become a Life Coach specializing in adults with AD/HD. I
earned my CPO (Certified Professional Organizer) designation from the Board
of Certification for Professional Organizers as a member of their Inaugural
Class. I am also an ADD Specialist with the National Study Group on
Chronic Disorganization. I believe what is most important is my approach. I am very aware and sensitive to the fact
that my work involves dealing with things that are very near and dear to
people. I understand that each person has their own unique styles and
methods and we must set up systems and processes that complement the way a
person is currently operating. Confidentiality and trust are traits I pride
myself on. My patient, compassionate approach sets a tone of friendship and
productivity.
My 12th grade English teacher used to say "self
praise stinks to high heaven". She would not like this webpage very
much. But if I don't put this here, how will you know you are in good
hands with me.
